Baby Houses

We have 3 baby houses: one in Glenvista, one in Hillbrow, and one in Yeoville. Two of the homes have the potential to take up to 12 babies at a time, and our main house in Glenvista is now a registered children’s home allowing us to have 30 children at this one facility.

Baby House 1

The Glenvista home was our first and now acts as the central administrative home. This is where we have our offices, receive donations, house volunteers. This home also serves as the base for our toddler program. This is a program recently set up for children who are remaining with us for longer periods of time and for those children who come in at a later age and are walking. The program seeks to provide more than everyday essential care and is focusing on education and stimulation of these children. Our goal is for all of our children about the age of three to go to Christian school. If you wish to sponsor one of these children please go to our needs page.

Baby House 2

The Hillbrow home is situated directly behind the Berea Baptist Church. It was opened in November 2003 to help us accommodate the increasing amount of abandoned babies and children. Although in a dangerous area, it is secure behind electric fencing and high walls. This is where the "hole in the wall" is situated.

Baby House 3

The Yeoville home is approximately 5km from the Hillbrow home and shares its building with the Bellevue Baptist church. The reason for purchasing a home so close is that there are a high number of abandonments in this area, mostly due to the fact that the prostitutes work on the street parallel to where we are located. We are hoping that our name will spread and mothers will bring their babies to us rather than leaving them in night clubs or on the streets as is often the case,
